Right For You?

Eat Lots of Dim Sum

You might be thinking at this time that perhaps Dim Sum is the path you have been looking for all your life. More likely you are still uncertain about it, and that is OK with us. We know that not every one will fall in love with Dim Sum, and find new joy and meaning in their life from the eating of a few steamed morsels.

Our faith is based around simple values, such as fellowship, drinking of tea and chatting while trolleys deliver tantalizing dishes directly to our table. We have an abundance mentality, in that if you eat all the shrimp dumplings on the table, we can always order more. There is no need to fight over a dumpling.

In the church of Dim sum, we support diversity. There are a diverse selection of dishes, including all kinds of meat and seafood, and vegetables too. If you don't like chicken feet, then you can try the duck feet instead, or perhaps some yummy squid tentacles will get you going.

Perhaps the question is "Am I right for Dim Sum?" Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  • Did you name your children names like Ha Gow and Siu Mai?
  • Do you go to a Dim Sum restaurant at least weekly?
  • Are you waiting outside the door when they open?
  • Do the staff there know you by name?
  • Do you have your favorite table?
  • Can you order your favorite dishes in Chinese (and you are not Chinese)?
  • Do you make up silly stories about the dumplings?
  • Can you name 3 different types of tea?
  • In the past year, have you invited more than 10 people out for Dim Sum?

If you answered yes to some of the above, then welcome home. You have found your calling, and we are glad to welcome you into the Church of Dim Sum.
